The theme of food packaging was highlighted on November 30, 2020 with a web conference organized as part of the Research and Innovation Meetings of the Hauts-de-France Region: "Food packaging of tomorrow".

Initiated by CERTIA and its partners (including AQUIMER), this meeting was a great success with more than 300 participants!

The event started with taking inventory of the current situation. Environmental issues followed, with a focus on end-of-life and recyclability of packaging. Innovative projects from the Hauts-de-France region were then presented.
"This theme is clearly in vogue. The anti-waste law for a circular economy of February 10, 2020 aims to profoundly transform the way we produce and consume through better management of resources and waste. In particular, it plans to move towards the goal of 100% recycled plastic by January 1, 2025 and the end of single-use plastic packaging on the market by 2040. In order to achieve this major shift, we need to prepare for it today".
