Young people in the Boulonnais area made aware of the jobs in the aquatic products industry

On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, AQUIMER intervened with young college students or job seekers as part of the innovation camp "The new modes of consumption of sea products".

Organized by the Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications (CMQ) Supply, Valorization and Commercialisation of Aquatic Products, this event aimed to raise awareness among young people of the professions in the aquatic products sector. In groups, and accompanied by different structures, including AQUIMER, the participants reflected on a business creation project around the issue "How would you imagine the packaging by 2040 to consume sea products while maintaining the flavors and nutritional values of the product? They then presented their project to a jury (AQUIMER was also a member of the jury).

"This day allowed us to make young people aware of the consumption of aquatic products and to introduce them to entrepreneurship. The young people appreciated this moment of cohesion, sharing and creativity. They had to overcome their stage fright to take the floor and give back their projects to the members of the jury!"
Harmonie TELLIER, AQUIMER Project Manager

Congratulations to the participants, organizers, partners (ULCO, Région Hauts-de-France, Académie de Lille), ambassadors (Lycée Cazin de Boulogne-sur-Mer, ULCO, Poissonnerie Gourmande) and challengers (Collège Roger Salengro in Saint-Martin Boulogne, Collège Jean Jaurès in Étaples, L'AMIE du Boulonnais.

The productions made during this day will be presented to the general public during the Fête de la Mer (Sea Feast) in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
