Back to the SEAFOOD EXPO GLOBAL

AQUIMER was present at the SEAFOOD EXPO GLOBAL 2022 exhibition which took place from 26 to 28 April in Barcelona. For this first edition in Spain, more than 2000 exhibitors were present, and visitors also had the opportunity to attend thematic conferences (traceability, post-covid market, sustainability etc.).

On Tuesday evening, 26 April, the winners of the Seafood Excellence Global Awards, recognizing the best products at the Expo, were annonced. 82 products were in competition and 38 of them were selected for the final.

We can highlight the grand prize for Best HORECA (hotel/restaurant/catering) Product won by the French company GlobeXplore for its Seaweed Spread – Yuzu and Ginger.

The other prizes were awarded to :

  • Pescanova, (Spain) won two awards for its Salmon Noodles in the categories "Best retail product" and "Innovation".
  • Krijn Verwijs Yerseke B.V. (The Netherlands) received an award for its product 'Bangkok-Fresh Sauce with Lemongrass & Ginger' in the 'Retail Packaging' category and the 'Seafood Product Line' award for the developed range.
  • Balfego & Balfego, SL, (Spain) received an award for its "Balfego Bluefin Tuna Loin" in the "Health and Nutrition" category
  • JC Mackintosh, (Spain) won an award for its 'Smoked Wild-Caught Bluefin Tuna', in the 'Convenience' category

The 2023 edition of Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global will take place from 25 to 27 April, 2023, at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, in Barcelona, Spain.
