EIT Food Open Call 2022
The objective of this call for proposals is to allow the EIT Food to identify its future projects and activities. Proposals submitted must offer innovative, technological and sustainable solutions to the major challenges of the food system.
The EIT FOOD is a community supported by the European Union, which aims to change the current food model to produce healthy and sustainable food for all. It supports projects, organizations and individuals who share the same goals.
The EIT Food 2022 call aims to maximize the societal, economic and environmental impact of innovative ideas and organizations, in line with the EIT Food Strategic Agenda 2021-2027 and the achievement of one or more of the 4 main impact objectives of the EIT Food related to the food system
- Improve conditions for building public trust in the food system,
- Reduce risks related to obesity and non-communicable diseases in targeted populations,
- Improve the environmental impact of agri-food systems,
- Enable the transition to a circular and sustainable economy.
ELIGIBILITY
This call is exclusively open to collaborative projects. The consortia formed must meet the following criteria:
- Propose one/several innovative technological solutions, close to the market and commercially viable, aligned with the objectives of EIT Food,
- The proposed solutions must have a TRL7 level (Demonstration of a prototype system in an operational environment) at the time of proposal submission,
- Proposed activities must launch at least one innovative solution by 12/31/23 and generate revenue of at least $10,000. Those ending in 2024 must launch an additional innovation commercialized by 12/31/24.
