Modelling the dynamics of Bacillus spore/material interactions

Context

Some bacteria can take the form of (sporulating) spores, which present remarkable resistance characteristics: they can survive for several thousands of years, even under unfavorable conditions, and thus allow the dispersal of the species, sometimes at a great distance from its point of origin, or long after the disappearance of the "parent".

Objective

Responding to the lack of tools to quantify the forces of bacterial/material interactions and the lack of knowledge on the complexity of the bacterium.

About the project

The project then proposes to apply these results to the bacterium L.monocytogenes (a pathogenic bacterium transmissible to humans mainly through food).
