DIAG-EN-MER
Environmental Diagnosis of the Whiting Fishery and its Processing
Context
Companies in the aquatic sector are increasingly aware of the benefits of integrating an environmental policy, both to reduce their environmental footprint and as a potential source of economic gain. To reduce your environmental footprint, you need to be able to objectively measure the impact of your activity.
Objectives
The aim of the project is to carry out an environmental diagnosis of small-scale whiting fishing and processing, using two different methods.
About
LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), the benchmark method for measuring environmental impact, has its limitations and needs to be adjusted or supplemented to take account of environmental externalities. To take account of the impact on biodiversity, and in this case marine biodiversity, new methodologies have emerged
