LIFE program Information Day

On 30 April 2020 the European Commission organised a virtual information day on the LIFE 2020 call for proposals. With its 5000 projects funded since 1992, LIFE is the oldest funding programme for the EU and the main program for the environment and climate with its 5000 projects funded since 1992. Funding for green technologies, nature protection and climate action was presented.

Important changes in the programme compared to previous years include the simplification of administrative formalities and a larger budget, with a considerable increase for the climate component (+31%) and for governance and information actions in the environment component (+33%). Although the co-financing rates are not the highest (55-75%), this programme has several advantages such as the great flexibility of the grants requested and the consortia, but also an average success rate of around 30%.
