Welcome to the first anniversary of the BLUEAQUAEDU project

As a partner in the BlueAquaEdu project, AQUIMER welcomed the project consortium to its first steering committee meeting in Boulogne-sur-Mer.

The BlueAquaEdu project explores gamification as an educational approach to engage and motivate teenagers (15-18) and students (18+) in the fields of aquaculture, the post-harvest value chain and the valorisation of processing co-products.

On 24, 25 and 26 September 2024, all the project partners met to review the progress of the project and showcase the first version of the game, which will soon be available to download. At the same time, the 8 partners were able to visit the facilities of PFI Nouvelles Vagues, an innovation platform based in Wimereux.

The meeting was also an opportunity for the AQUIMER cluster to hold the project's first workshop in collaboration with IFSEA. The theme of the day was the treatment and recovery of co-products, highlighting the environmental, economic and social aspects as well as best practices and technologies for the recovery of co-products, and ending with the regulatory aspects of this recovery.

Four speakers alternated throughout the day, enabling participants to learn more about the subject:

Around 15 participants travelled to Boulogne-sur-Mer and more than 20 were online to attend the workshop.

The replay of this event will soon be available on the BLUEAQUAEDU project website.

The next events will be held in 2025. To find out more, don't hesitate to subscribe to the project's social networks and newsletter : Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Newsletter
