Confederation of Processing Industries and Maritime Fishing Products (CITPPM)

The Confederation of Processing Industries and Maritime Fishing Products is the technical body representing all vocations in the fisheries industry and the aquaculture products processing industry.

The CITPPM is the technical body representing the interests of all those involved in the processing of fishery and aquaculture products.

With a scientific and technical vocation, the CITPPM brings its expertise to the companies of the sector.  The CITPPM coordinates research programmes for the improvement of quality and sanitary safety. The defence and recognition of the quality of fishery and aquaculture products are part of the main missions of the CITPPM, which designs, writes and promotes reference documents:

• French Standards (NF)
• Codes of Practice
• Guide to Good Hygiene Practice (GBPH)
• Professional Decisions

Always aware of the practices of the professionals that it represents, CITPPM also ensures the updating of these documents. Because it is the sector’s reference body, CITPPM ensures the surveillance of the products on the market.
