CFPMT is a competence centre. CFPMT is a French acronym, standing for « training centre for sea products and land products ». Its goals is to provide professional training and to conduct advisory missions for agribusiness companies.
The centre, aware of its role as an “actor of the city”, actively participates in the collective effort to join forces (competitiveness cluster, companies, etc.) in order to promote the know-how of the region’s actors in research and development, education, training and innovation. With 4 000m² of floor space, including 2 000m² reserved for technical workshops, 250 tonnes of raw materials processed per year, and 150 partner companies, the centre trains 1 000 trainees each year, for a total of more than 70 000 hours of training per year. The CFPMT operates in the fields of seafood processing, fish processing, butchery, management, as well as in the fields of cheese making, pastry/sweet breads and culinary valorisation. Concerned about giving full satisfaction to their customers, the centre is keen to identify the main characteristics that make them unique (corporate culture, quality and commercial policy, Human Resources, etc.). This approach enables them to better define the needs expressed and consequently to propose an adapted training offer.
