4th EATIP France day

The 4th EATIP France meeting organized by AQUIMER, on April 29, 2021, began with a word of welcome from Angeline Pignon, deputy director of the cluster. She then gave the floor to David Bassett, Secretary General of EATIP, who spoke about the objectives of the platform, the priorities at the European level and the involvement of AQUIMER within EATIP. His presentation ended with the upcoming meetings and conferences.

Our fisheries and aquaculture representative, Marie Bruaut, gave a review of the forums organized within the framework of EATIP since the beginning of the year 2021.

The themes of the forums were:

  • New developments in the cultivation of algae and microalgae
  • Digitalization in aquaculture

These feedbacks allowed us to make an overview of the points raised during these forums with a state of play, the problems encountered, the technologies developed as well as the evolution perspectives for the sector.

Our project manager Julie Mancini then presented the e-learning tool developed during the SEAFOOD TOMORROW project.

This European project, in which AQUIMER participated, aimed to develop innovative solutions to meet the challenges of the aquatic products industry.
The interactive e-learning platform meets the needs of professionals by offering real-life situations. It is organized in different modules and delivers a certification. Julie quickly demonstrated the easy and fun use of this new tool.

Finally, our Europe Officer, Margherita Vece presented the themes of HORIZON EUROPE 2021-2027 for the aquaculture sector selected by the participants of this 4th meeting.

The five themes selected were:

  • HORIZON-CL6-2021-FARM2FORK-01-01: Reaching the Farm to Fork target: R&I scenarios for boosting organic farming and organic aquaculture in Europe
