Boulogne-sur-Mer Développement Côte d’Opale is an economic development agency, a privileged contact entity with investors for projects of implantation and economic development. The agency is also an urban planning agency that provides technical support for the planning and urban development of municipalities. The agency also has a resource centre whose aim is to monitor and anticipate urban and economic developments. It has a geographic information system (GIS) that draws on data from the observatory to map strategic elements and illustrate planning documents. This allows a better knowledge of local specificities, to feed the thinking of local player in the definition of development approaches for the territory but also to provide real time decision support tools.
