• International meeting of the ISO234 "fisheries and aquaculture" Technical Committee in Boulogne-sur-Mer from the 22nd to the 24th November, 2011

From the 22nd to the 24th November, 2011 Boulogne-sur-Mer hosted the 5th international meeting of the ISO234 "fisheries and aquaculture" technical committee . Eight international delegations were present. Representatives from Canada, India, Iceland, Norway, Thailand, the USA and, of course France and, for the very first time, Kenya, responded positively. In conjunction with the plenary meeting, work groups met to continue developing international standards in the field of fishing and aquaculture. Two standards on the traceability of fisheries products will be published officially at the beginning of next year. The Pole will keep you informed of their publication along with any other standards resulting from this Technical Committee.

• Visit by a Japanese delegation to Toulouse at the end of November, 2011

The Kyushu and Hokkaïdo Japanese bioclusters, met last October in Japan within the framework of the agri-food Poles of Competitiveness and members of F2C Innovation (French Food Cluster), came to Toulouse at the end of November.
This visit, organised by Pole Agrimip Innovation, enabled the discussion started during the previous meetings, to be continued and also allowed some companies to sign their first contracts.
