The aim of the MECAGRO2 project is to create a cross-border laboratory capable of providing an overall response to the research problems of businesses in the agri-food and halieutic sectors whilst improving the health, nutrition and food safety of inhabitants / consumers.
This laboratory will have three research themes:
- to develop innovative solutions in the field of health and food safety,
- to develop food processes and their exploitation with a view to sustainable development,
- to develop food processes and their exploitation in order to improve ergonomic conditions at work and encourage employment.
This project, labellised by the AQUIMER Pole of Competitiveness on the 17th December, 2010, is co-labellised by the 'Nutrition Santé Longévité' Pole.
